About The Forks of the Kern is the best multi-day wilderness class V rafting trip on Earth. Period. This 18 miles stretch of water has been called the "Crown Jewel" of wilderness class V for a long time - and not just by us. Outside Magazine had this to say about our Forks of the Kern rafting trip:
"The serious heart in throat moments come mid-run at the back-to-back Class V Vortex/Gauntlet doubleheader: a ten-foot slide followed by unscoutable drops that roll on for a seeming eternity."
If you are an experienced paddler, are in good shape, and are ready to tackle the big stuff then the Forks of the Kern could be the right trip for you. Be prepared to go through a swim test prior to the trip and to hike your personal belongings to the river (roughly 2 miles). When it comes to aventure, this is the real deal. |
