Tour Options

We offer rafting tours on three different sections of the Kern River. Our trips range in length from 2 hours to 3 days and in difficulty from class II to class V. Just about anyone can find a trip that is suitable for them. The Lower Kern is class III - IV and we can provide half-day to two-day trips. The Upper Kern is class II - V and we have trips from 2 hours in length to a full day. The Forks of the Kern is the best multi-day wilderness class V run in the country.

Who We Are

Kern River Outfitters has outfitted whitewater rafting trips on the Kern River since 1982. We were formerly known as "Outdoor Adventures" and pioneered commercial rafting trips throughout California in the 1970's. In the early 2000's we decided to focus our energy on our favorite river in California: the Kern. We now pride ourselves in running the best river trips possible on what we believe is the best river around.
